A busy day, an intense week? A well-planned bath is one of the simplest ways to let off steam. Here is how to transform a simple bath into a true spa ritual, without leaving the house.
1. Set the mood
Relaxation starts before you even get into the water:
- Turn off your screens and put your phone on silent.
- Dim the lights and light a candle.
- Prepare a soft towel, a large glass of water, and your post-bath skincare.
The Be Well set gathers everything you need: a lavender-chamomile candle, bath salts, and a pillow mist to extend the relaxation until bedtime.
2. Start with a scrub
Before slipping into the bath, a scrub in the shower rids the skin of dead cells: it will better absorb the rest of the ritual. The Moroccan body scrub brings a hammam touch. For a gentler exfoliation, the matcha and azuki bean soap does the job perfectly. Find all our tips in our article on body scrubbing.
3. The bath: temperature and salts
Aim for water that is warm but not scalding, around 37 to 38°C, and limit the bath to 20 or 30 minutes to avoid drying out your skin.
Add bath salts as the tub is filling:
- The rose and lavender salts combine Epsom salt, pink Himalayan salt, essential oils, and real dried flowers.
- The effervescent Dead Sea salts offer all the fun of a bath bomb, with a relaxing fizz.

4. During the bath: breathe
Take this opportunity for a mental break: a few slow breaths, a book, some soft music. It is also the ideal time to apply a face mask or hydrating eye patches.
5. After the bath: nourish your skin
Dry yourself by patting, then apply skincare to skin that is still slightly damp. The shea, geranium, and sandalwood body butter or the wild fruit beauty balm leave skin soft and comfortable. Drink a large glass of water, then head to bed.
A few precautions
- Essential oils are not suitable for everyone: if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have highly reactive skin, seek advice from a healthcare professional before use.
- Avoid a very hot bath if you are prone to heavy legs or fainting.
- Get up slowly when exiting the bath.
